30 Percent of Students In School Districts in Financial Jeopardy

Bad news on the schools front.

According to a new state report, 13 school districts are in such bad financial shape they are at risk of being unable to meet their obligations either in the current year or the next school year. The report identifies 97 more districts that could run out by the end of 2012-13. All together, these school districts include nearly 2 million students -- nearly 30 percent of the state's student population.
