Sierra Leone Begins Three-Day Ebola Lockdown

A three-day curfew has begun in Sierra Leone on Friday to enable volunteers to search house-to-house for Ebola victims in an unprecedented effort to combat the deadly disease, NBC News reported. UNICEF said the measure provides an opportunity to tell people how to protect themselves, but some experts have warned that such a strategy could backfire, especially if there are not enough beds at treatment centers. Meanwhile, six people have been arrested in the killings of eight people in Guinea who had been trying to educate locals on the risks of Ebola, a government spokesman said.
