There's an App for That: Find My iPhone, iCloud Helps Cops Locate Kidnapped Teen

She was found in a McDonald's parking lot over 150 miles away

A worried mother used savvy tech skills to find her missing daughter, NBC News reported.

The 18-year-old teen was allegedly taken from East Stroudsburg, PA, against her will by her ex-boyfriend and then transported to Milesburg, PA, 154 miles away. She was found in a car in a McDonald's parking lot.  
 
The mother contacted Pennsylvania State Police and said that "she had been receiving text messages from her daughter requesting help. The mother was able to track the victim's cellphone by utilizing the iCloud [and] Find My iPhone app," according to a police statement. 
 
Bail for the ex-boyfriend, identified as 18-year-old Joseph Boller, has been set at $150,000, police said.
