Fiorina Says $$$ Makes Her the Stronger Candidate

Carly Fiorina has more money than the other Republicans who wants to replace Democrat Barbara Boxer in the U.S. Senate and she wants Republican voters to know it.

Fiorina is running television spots which you will probably see tonight or tomorrow. Her opponents are not.

That's why Fiorina says she has the stronger campaign and the best chance to beat a well-financed incumbent. Fiorina has given her campaign $3.6 million of her own money, and isn't shy about it.

"My campaign has raised more money than Tom Campbell's or Chuck Devore's combined," she said. "We are the only campaign up on television today because we have the resources to be on TV.   And yes, we are in people's mailboxes (too)."

That's a reference to Campbell's mail campaign.

He's reaching out to absentee voters through the mail as he tries to secure his frontrunner status with three weeks left until primary day.

Polls show him leading among the Republicans and they suggest he is most electable in a head-to-head matchup with Boxer.

Fiorina argues that it will take her kind of money to finish Boxer off.  Boxer had nearly $9 million in her coffers earlier this year.

She won't have to spend any of it until after the primary.  Fiorina says hers is the only campaign that has shown it can keep the pace when it comes to resources.

"We are going to continue to be in contact with voters every single day between now and the primary," she said. " We have more donors.  We have a stronger campaign."
