Google Adds Live Transit Updates

Google is making life a little bit easier for busy BART commuters.

The Mountain View-based search giant will give Bay Area train riders BART's schedule when they do a simple Google search.

The partnership is part of Google's Live Transit updates services, where users are given schedules, real-time departure updates and service advisories.

The new service furthers a relationship between the agency and Google. Last month, Google was negotiating with BART to give its employees reserved parking at the transit agency's Milbrae station.

BART riders can also mobile apps to get real-time updates and even Twitter.
