Google HUD May Go On Sale By Year's End

A look from the future coming soon.

For people who don't want to go through all the trouble of pulling a phone out of their pockets, there's some good news for you today.

Google is working on a pair of glasses that will be able to stream information to the user's eyes in real time. That's also known as HUD, or "heads up display."

The New York Times reports that folks close to the project say these futuristic spectacles will be on sale by the year's end and will retail from between $250 and $600.

According to insiders, the goggles will be Android-based, have a small screen near the user's eye, and have a 3G or 4G connection.
