“Jackass 3.5” Opening Next March in Cyberspace

When you enjoy the best  September/October-weekend opening in box-office history, the studio will typically be eager to get a sequel out to the masses.

And wouldn't you know it, the big brains at Paramount already have another helping of "Jackass" in the can and are prepared to unleash it upon the masses beginning in March 2011.

"For 'Jackass 3-D' we shot enough footage for two movies, so a lot of great stuff didn't make it in the film," Jackass ringleader Johnny Knoxville told MTV. "Luckily you will get to see those bits in '3.5.' We also shot some additional footage in Europe specifically for '3.5.' I have staples in my head right now to prove it. Woo hoo."

Clips will be released piecemeal each week before the whole thing is bundled together into an online feature-length film before release on platforms like Blu-0ray and DVD.

"Jackass 3D" earned $50.4 million in its first weekend, before going on to take in more than $150 million worldwide.
