Briefcase Bomb Kills 10 Outside India High Court

A bomb hidden in a briefcase ripped through the reception gate of a New Delhi courthouse Wednesday, killing at least 10 people and wounding at least 61. According to police, the gate to the High Court is unsecured, and many pedestrians gather there to enter the building. “There was smoke everywhere,” one lawyer recounted to CNN-IBN. “There was blood everywhere. It was very, very scary.” There was another bombing at the Delhi High Court in May, though no one was injured, The New York Times reported. This was the first major terror attack in India since the July 13 bombings of three Mumbai neighborhoods, which left 20 dead.
