Kurt Warner Punted from DWTS, Bristol Spared Again

Bristol “The Pistol” Palin has stumbled into the semi-finals of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Despite admitting that she was “getting used to” being at the bottom of the leaderboard, Sarah Palin’s daughter earned another reprieve from “Dancing” viewers on Tuesday.

That left ex-NFL QB Kurt Warner – second from last – to get his walking papers, a day after judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba all but told viewers not to pick up a phone on his behalf.

"Obviously we can see that people are better than you, but you're trying to do it," Tonioli had said on Monday.

The “Dancing” judge tried to make up for his stinging criticism Tuesday by calling Warner a “real gentleman” and even an “American idol.”

“Nice plug for the other network,” host Tom Bergeron shot back.

Warner, who himself copped to not being “the best dancer,” bowed out gracefully after learning his fate.

"I learned a long time ago that life isn't always about winning and losing competitions, but it's about relationships, it's about impacting people," he said. "And so I thank everybody at 'Dancing With the Stars' because it gave me an opportunity to impact people and build relationships, and that's really what it's all about."

In a show of support, Warner’s “Dancing” colleagues led the crowd in chanting “M-V-P” in the final moments of the ABC broadcast.

Other celebrities who made it through to next week are Disney star Kyle Massey and “Dirty Dancing’s” Jennifer Grey and singer Brandy, the two with the highest scores this week.
