Singer Gavin DeGraw: “I Don't Remember Much”

Sources say singer suffered a broken nose and other injuries

Still recovering from a mysterious early morning attack in New York City that saw him hospitalized with a broken nose, concussion, and facial lacerations, singer Gavin DeGraw took to Twitter to update his fans on his status.

""Honestly, I don't remember much," writes DeGraw. "I only know I can recover from here."

"Thank u all for your genuine concern. I love u guys."

A representative for DeGraw has also issued a statement canceling the performer's next two shows, which were supposed to take place on Long Island and in Massachusetts on August 12 and 13.

The 34 year-old told New York cops he was assaulted early Monday morning after leaving an East Village restaurant.

Details were sketchy as a source says the "I Don't Want to Be" singer was highly intoxicated and did not initially report the assault to police.

Police learned of the attack only after being called by staff at Bellevue Hospital where DeGraw went after the attack.

Several white and Hispanic men assaulted him, DeGraw told police.

TMZ reported DeGraw has been touring with Train and Maroon 5. They were scheduled to perform Tuesday night in Saratoga Springs.

DeGraw has a new album, "Sweeter," due out in September. He's probably best known for his hit song "Chariot."

Police are continuing their investigation.
