The U.S. men's basketball team defeated Nigeria 156-73 on Thursday in preliminary round competition. USA never trailed thanks in part to devilishly solid defense and amazing long-range shooting. Carmelo Anthony paced USA with 37 points and was a remarkable 10/12 from long distance. Overall, six Americans reached double figures in scoring and every member of the team scored at least once. Ike Diogu led the way for Nigeria with 27 points. With the win, USA remains undefeated in London.
