Bret Michaels Storms Back on Stage

The rock and roller who only a month ago was confined to a hospital bed with a hemorrhaging brain climbed back on the stage Friday night.  Bret Michaels performed for a crowd of 1,400 at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi showing little signs of his recent health ordeals.

Donald Trump's newest Apprentice brushed off the stroke he suffered four weeks prior with a quip to the crowd:  "I've got a little bitty hitch in my left giddy up, but I think we'll be all right."  The 47-year-old Michaels strutted across the Biloxi stage with a slight limp, but otherwise gave an energetic performance, People reported.

The set list drew heavily from the days when he fronted the legendary arena rock band Poison, including "Unskinny Bop" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

Doctors had warned Michaels against rushing back into the rock star lifestyle so quickly after his two major health problems.  But Michaels did not miss a beat, performing on American Idol finale and then jumping right into the Celebrity Apprentice finale as well.  VH1 cameras were on hand at the Hard Rock to film for an upcoming reality show centered on the ironman star, "Brett Michaels: Life as I Know It."
