Samsung is set to announce the launch of a virtual reality headset later this year, putting it head-to-head with other virtual reality projects in development, according to a report by Engadget. The headset will be powered by next-generation phones and tablets and will allow users to immerse themselves in games and videos. Similar devices, including Sony's Project Morpheus and Facebook's Oculus Rift, have already been announced and are expected to be released in late 2014 or sometime in 2015.
