A Southwest Airlines flight bound for San Diego was diverted to LAX on Saturday morning due to a medical emergency, the airline confirmed.
According to those on board, a woman had a seizure and a flight attendant kept the woman safe until landing.
Flight 6641, which left the Sacramento Airport just before 6 a.m., landed in Los Angeles at 7:16 a.m.
The patient and three family members got off the plane at LAX.
The flight finally landed in San Diego at 8:30 a.m., an hour and 10 minutes behind schedule.
