Steve Jobs Wants Your Patience

Steve Jobs message to those frustrated fan boys and girls who can't their hand on an iPad 2: Be Patient.

The Apple CEO issued a statement Tuesday acknowledging that there is a shortage of the newest version of the iPad to go around but he promised his company would award patience.

“We’re experiencing amazing demand for iPad 2 in the US, and customers around the world have told us they can't wait to get their hands on it," he said in a release. "We appreciate everyone’s patience and we are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.”

Jobs' statement comes as he is on leave from Apple for health related reasons. But his undisclosed health problems haven't kept him from being involved with Apple.

Tuesday Jobs was also called by a federal judge to testify in a pending lawsuit against Apple.

Last week jobs issued a statement offering his concerns for his employees and their families in Japan. He also announced that Apple would delay its release of the iPad 2 in Japan.

But 25 other countries will not have to wait as long. Jobs also announced in his release that Apple will begin selling the iPad 2 Friday in places such as Hong Kong and Singapore.
