A South Jersey couple who went out of state to elope at a Taylor Swift concert got a special wedding day surprise.
Cape May County’s Katy Harris married her sweetheart Chris Eisenmann outside of Swift’s show Friday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. And, Harris shared the whole "tailgate" wedding experience on her Instagram feed:
Harris shared a series of text messages from last month between her and Eisenmann where they discussed moving their wedding -- originally set for from 12-13-14, which was Swift’s 25th birthday – to the musician’s concert in Philly.
“As I was making our homemade outfits for Taylor (as I have done every two years when she comes to town) a joke about wearing my gown to the concert turned into us driving to Philly to get a marriage license and planning a ceremony outside of Lincoln Financial Field right before walking into the concert in our tux and gown,” wrote Harris.
Philly.com reported that the couple kept some wedding traditions in place – they drove separately to the venue. They then exchanged vows in the concert parking lot in front of a group of Swifties, family members and friends as Harris’ brother officiated.
And, it seems Swift took notice and made her super-fan’s special day even more special.
