Three Teen Girls From London Feared Headed To Syria

Counter-terror officials in London said Friday that they are searching for three teenage schoolgirls who they believed ran away from home to travel to an area in Syria that is controlled by the extremist group ISIS, NBC News reported. The girls, aged 15 to 17, boarded a Turkish Airlines flight at London's Gatwick Airport Tuesday afternoon and arrived in Istanbul later that evening, police told NBC News in a statement. They reportedly made excuses to their families as to why they would be out for the day. Thousands of wannabe ISIS rebels have crossed into Syria through Turkey since the civil war there started four years ago.
