Best Part of “Smurfs” Trailer Is a Song You've Totally Forgotten About

"The Smurfs" trailer has arrived, and it sadly lives down to the expectations set by the previous stuff we've seen from the film.

Loaded with broad slapsticky humor, tired pop culture references and numerous uses of the words "smurf" in lieu of "farted," "puked/vomited," "f***" and "blow." The only part of the whole thing is the use of the song "Main Offender" by The Hives, which we hadn't heard in years.

It's a shame that this is shaping up to be the second coming of "Gnomeo & Juliet," because there's a load of talented people involved, including Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Jonathan Winters, Alan Cumming, Paul Reubens, Anton Yelchin and Tim Gunn, to name a few.

Frankly, we much prefer the "Inglorious Smurfs" trailer.
