Several unique rooms were created at the space including this wall of mirrors room where cocktails took place as guests arrived (picture the likes of Jessica Alba, Uma Thurman and Kesha rubbing elbows). Much of the venue was inspired by the Via Gesu Versace Palazzo where Versace shows their ready-to-wear collections in Milan each season.

It was certainly a star-studded affair. Attendees including Blake Lively (one of the last to arrive), Chace Crawford, Debbie Harry and Emma Roberts all sat front row.

Plenty of designers were also in attendance, including the Proenza Schouler boys, Joseph Altuzarra, Brian Atwood and Maria Cornejo. Alexander Wang (pictured at left) told us he came to shop. (He scooped up several of the printed menswear button downs and a bomber jacket at the event.)

Model Coco Rocha (pictured), who has walked in many Versace ready-to-wear shows over the years, told us, "It's nice to be a guest in the audience for a change!" She was joined by other models including Linda Evangelista and Helena Christensen.

The runway show was held in a unique space that included gold catwalk. Models including Natasha Poly, Lindsey Wixson and Abbey Lee Kershaw came out two by two during the show.

Tom Pecheux who worked on the makeup said he was going for "something fun, something glam, but very rock and roll."

Orlando Pita, who worked on the hair, created a look that channeled a mix between Donatella Versace and Axl Rose. Tons of extensions were used and the look was finished with a black leather bandanna. Pita revealed that. in the last show he did with Gianni Versace, he had used leather headbands.

Styling was kept simple -- everything on the runway will be available for sale when the collection hits stores including the bags and shoes.

After the runway show, guests were invited into the after-party space -- a massive disco with green lighting. Walls were emblazoned with Versace prints. Nicki Minaj was the first performer of the night, telling the crowd of Donatella: "This is her moment, she waited her entire life."

Prince, the second performer of the night, didn't take to the stage until 11:15 pm. He said, "I'm just excited to be here. We get new clothes and everything." The performer wore a red bedazzled lounge suit, while his band wore pieces from the Versace for H&M collection. He closed his set with one of his most famous songs, "Purple Rain."

A fourth space in the venue was a dedicated pop-up store featuring the Versace for H&M collection.

Shopping continued well into the early morning as guests scooped up pieces that won't be available in H&M stores until November 17th.
