Neighbor Dispute Leads to Pipe Bomb Blast at Huntington Beach Home: Police

Shrapnel was found at the scene, but there were no injuries reported, police said

A 55-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a pipe bomb explosion at a Huntington Beach home that stemmed from a dispute between neighbors, police said.

The bomb had been placed near the home at Newland Street and Atlanta Avenue and intentionally detonated in the early morning hours, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Shrapnel was found at the scene, but there were no injuries reported, police said.

Investigators stopped William Peltier in a car several hours after the blast. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of destructive device material.

Peltier could face additional charges, police said.
