Thousands of costumed revelers and onlookers will face a new security rule at the annual Halloween Carnaval in West Hollywood.
The event typically draws about half a million people to the streets of West Hollywood.
"There's always potential when you have that amount of people in a concentrated area that anything is possible," Lt. Daren Diviak of the West Hollywood Sheriff's station said.
For that reason, deputies will be enforcing a new rule this Halloween.
Similar to NFL games, no backpacks, totes or camera bags are allowed. Instead, revelers are asked to carry their items in clear plastic bags this year.
