Two people were fatally shot and two suffered injuries during a violent night Monday on a North Hollywood street.
The Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood Division responded to a call just after 11:35 p.m. outside the Hesby Apartments in the NoHo Arts District. The conditions of the surviving victims, all in their 20s or 30s, remained unclear and a motive for the shooting was not immediately available.
Officials were able to recover weapons at the scene. A detailed description of the shooter and the victims was not immediately clear.
The deceased were identified Thursday as two men from New York. Ryan Dunk, 25, of Brooklyn, died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant chief Ed Winter. Jawara Tucker, 29, whose New York home town was not known, died at a hospital
Authorities are investigating the shooting.
