Victim's Brother Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

The brother of a man killed in a hit-and-run crash was sought Monday after investigators found the sport utilyt vehicle involved in the Northridge crash abandoned in a restaurant parking lot.

The vehicle was found in a KFC parking lot after the 9 p.m. crash in the 16900 block of Napa Street that killed a 35-year-old man. The restaurant on Balboa Boulevard is just around the corner from the crash site.

Investigators determined that the victim and driver sought in connection with his death are brothers.

"It's sad that somebody would do this, especially to their own family," said neighbor Chris Aguilar.

Witnesses told police the two appeared to be arguing Sunday night before one of the brothers got into his SUV and drove over his family member.
