Kids Use BB Gun in Northern California Candy Robbery

Armed with a BB gun, two boys went into a Northern California convenience store and gave the cashier a choice: his candy or his life.

OK, so maybe it wasn't that dramatic -- but still -- the armed (sorta) robbers, ages 8 and 10, demanded candy and cash from a cashier at an Oakland "ampm" store on Thursday night, police said.

The cashier reported the robber to police and the children were eventually arrested.

The boys, who are cousins, were released to their parents and are awaiting a court appearance.

Police said the boys do not have any prior records.
