A man was injured after an officer-involved shooting late Saturday evening in Boyle Heights, authorities said.
The shooting occurred just after 11:40 p.m. near the intersection of Soto Street and Michigan Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.
During a pedestrian stop, officers saw the 30-year-old suspect had a handgun, LAPD said.
The suspect was shot in the andomen and transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials confirmed no officers were injured during the shooting.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting was under investigation.
