Officer's Personal Truck Stolen – Along With Gun, Gear

Authorities on Thursday sought public help to find a stolen pickup truck owned by a Pasadena police reserve officer, whose firearm was in the vehicle, along with other law enforcement equipment.

The truck was stolen sometime between 4:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Wednesday from the 1100 block of Rosemont Avenue, said Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra.

Police circulated a photo of the truck, described as a white, 2000 Ford F-250 crew cab pick-up, with a matching camper shell, California license number 6J54905.

"The vehicle, owned by a Pasadena Police Department reserve police officer, contained a semi-automatic handgun and other law enforcement equipment, including a duty belt, ballistic helmet, ballistic vest, gas mask, and ammunition," Ibarra said.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 626-744-4241, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
