One woman died Friday and another woman is in critical condition after a vehicle struck them in Rialto.
Authorities responded to a call at 8:35 p.m. of two pedestrians struck in a hit-and-run crash on the 1400 block of Foothill Boulevard, according to Sgt. Robert Morales of the Rialto Police Department.
The women were walking when the vehicle struck them and failed to stop.
They were taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. One woman died at the hospital, police said.
A vehicle believed to belong to the hit-and-run driver was located at a nearby apartment complex on the 200 block of Beachwood Street. The car in question had damage to the front.
Police are investigating the hit-and-run and ask anyone who has information to contact the Rialto Police Department at 909-820-2578.
