Overturned Semitruck Shuts Lanes on 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park

An overturned semitrailer on the eastbound 10 Freeway, near the 605 Freeway interchange, in the Baldwin Park area resulted in closed lanes and a major traffic delay Sunday evening.

Initially, the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 4:20 p.m. and stated that the cleanup would take three hours.

Newschopper4 Bravo and Gil Leyvas flew over the scene and noted that vehicles were allowed to pass on either side of the overturned semitrailer.

At 6:17 p.m., the SigAlert was extended for an additional three hours.

At 7:48 p.m., the CHP stated that the no. 1, 2, 3 and 4 lanes were all open, as was the HOV lane. The northbound 605 Freeway to the eastbound 10 Freeway connector remained closed.
