License Plate Left at the Scene of Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Two people were killed in the crash

A license plate was left at the scene of a hit-and-run crash that killed two people Tuesday in the Westmont area. 

The crash was reported at about 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 95th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A man died at the scene and a second pedestrian was taken to a hospital, the CHP reported. That person later died. 

A description of the vehicle and hit-and-run driver were not immediately available. Officers are attempting to determine whether an abandoned Mercedes Benz was involved in the crash.
