Police were searching for an armed man who robbed two people within minutes at the University of California, Irvine, police said.
The robberies were reported around 6 p.m. when the first victim was approached at an ATM by a man who told the victim he had a gun, according to the UCI Police Department.
About 15 minutes later, the second victim was robbed by a man who appeared to have a weapon, according to UCI Police Department.
Campus police sent out a "zotAlert," which is used in emergency situations, police said.
Neither of the victims were injured.
The robber was seen driving a red Chevrolet or Ford sedan, police said.
