Two car theft suspects were taken into custody Monday evening after ditching a stolen vehicle and running into a nearby bank to elude authorities.
Police surrounded the Chase bank near Sepulveda Boulevard and Victory Boulevard around 6 p.m.
The two ran into the bank and the LAPD cleared the building to hunt for the alleged car thieves, forcing everyone inside to line up against the wall.
Witnesses later learned the criminal suspects were there the whole time, in the lineup and in the bank.
They were quickly taken into custody, police said.
The suspects were described only as two women.
