Candidate Tulsi Gabbard to Lead Cross Fit Workout Session in Santa Monica

Gabbard is also set to speak Monday at the Veterans Day LA celebration outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and conduct a town hall at The Proud Bird food hall near Los Angeles International Airport.

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is scheduled to lead a workout session in Santa Monica Sunday to begin a two-day visit to the Los Angeles area for her campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

The session will be held from 1-3 p.m. at CrossFit Santa Monica.

Gabbard is also set to speak Monday at the Veterans Day LA celebration outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and conduct a town hall at The Proud Bird food hall near Los Angeles International Airport.

Gabbard, a major in the Hawaii Army National Guard, joined Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn in the successful effort to cancel plans to rebrand the Coliseum as the United Airlines Memorial Coliseum as part of a $69 million naming-rights agreement to help fund the $270 million renovation of the stadium, which opened in 1923.

Hahn is the event's chair.

At the town hall, Gabbard "will share her vision for ending our engagement in costly regime change wars, the new Cold War and arms race and investing U.S. resources in serving the needs of the American people," according to her campaign.

"Foreign policy can't be separated from domestic policy because the waging of regime change wars, the new cold war, and the nuclear arms race is costing American lives and wasting trillions of $ that should be invested in domestic needs like health, education, infrastructure, etc." Gabbard tweeted Saturday.

Admission is free. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the event set for 6-8 p.m. All active and retired military with valid military identification will receive a free meal at the Food Bazaar from 5-8 p.m.

Reservations can be made here.
