A poll released in October 2018 shows that only a little over a third of Americans would pass a basic multiple choice U.S. citizenship test modeled after those taken by immigrants as part of the naturalization process.
The poll, released Oct. 3, 2018 by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, sampled 1,000 American adults. Only 36 percent actually passed the test.
