What is the best course of action to jumpstart California and the nation's economy?
Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass believes it's critically important Congress reduce the deficit but it must be done with a more balanced approach.
Politicians are making a mistake taking a cuts-only method to deficit reduction without increasing the nation's revenue, Bass said.
"We have a fragile recovery and you could literally throw us back into a recession if you reduce the deficit too quickly and irresponsibly," Bass said.
Closing corporate loopholes and asking the wealthy to pay a little more is part of the solution but more drastic measures may be needed if the country is to recover.
