2 Horses Halt Highway Traffic After Escape From Trailer

A pair of escaped animals went horsing around on a busy Southern California highway early Monday morning, authorities said.

Two horses ran free from a horse trailer after it was involved in a traffic collision at the Reservoir Street exit in Pomona at about 1:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The 60 Freeway had to be briefly closed as authorities corralled the animals.

The free-running horses are back with their owners and the highway reopened.

Video from the scene showed the horses being led back into a horse trailer.
