Possible Underground Vault Explosion Leaves 12 Without Power in Fullerton

A possible underground vault explosion Saturday morning left nearly 2,000 people without power initially was only affecting 12 by the afternoon in Orange County.

The outage was reported just after 9 a.m. in the area of Chapman and Raymond avenues in Fullerton, according to Southern California Edison.

Officials said there were reports that an underground vault explosion was to blame for the outage affecting 1,899 customers. By about 12:30 p.m., the number was reduced to 12.

Fullerton firefighters responded to the explosion.
