Mylar balloons Saturday touched off a power outage in West Los Angeles when they came in contact with utility lines, authorities said.
The outage was reported just after 1 p.m. and affected 140 customers, Department of Water and Power spokeswoman Mia Rose Wong said.
Repair crews were on the scene and Wong said power should be restored in the early evening, possibly around 5 p.m.
Earlier in the week, the LA Department of Water and Power identified Mylar balloons as the cause of a power outage at Dodger Stadium during Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
