Preliminary 3.4-Magnitude Quake Rattles Near Granada Hills

A preliminary 3.4-magnitude earthquake shook the Granada Hills area Monday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Nearly 500 said they felt the quake in Simi Valley, Chatsworth and Granada Hills.

The temblor was reported at 9:50 p.m. about 5 miles northwest of Granada Hills.

There were no immediate reports of damage.

"I'm in Simi Valley and I felt it for sure. [Definitely] woke us up," Jason Bernard said via NBC4's Facebook page.
