Robbers Ambush at Least 10 People on Pasadena Streets

The Pasadena Police Department issued a crime alert Tuesday asking for the public’s help in locating two men suspected of robbing pedestrians in residential areas.

In four separate incidents, at least 10 people were approached by the suspects and robbed at gunpoint. The robberies occurred in the 400 and 600 blocks of North Mar Vista Avenue, the 400 block of North Euclid Avenue and the 2000 block of Newport Avenue, police said.

"I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't a joke," said Esther Prado, who said she was approached from behind and thrown on the ground by the robbers.

Prado said she had a gun pressed to her head and had her phone, passport and other belongings stolen from her.

"This isn't something I'd wish in anybody, not even my worst enemy," she said.

Police described the two suspects as black men armed with a gun and driving a dark colored vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding any of the incidents is asked to contact the Pasadena Police Department Robbery Detective Section at 626-744-4522.
