Robbers Steal $1.5M Worth of Jewelry, Property From A$AP Rocky's Beverly Grove Home

Three robbers, at least one of them armed, made off with $1.5 million in jewelry and other items in a home invasion in Beverly Grove late Tuesday night.

The home belongs to a rapper and songwriter A$AP Rocky, also known as Rakim Mayers.

The robbery happened about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of North Flores Street, where a relative of the rapper was approached by three males, said Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division. After returning to the home, she went back outside where she was confronted by men wearing masks and gloves.

One of the robbers produced a gun and the suspects forced the woman back into the home, Preciado said.

The suspects took the jewelry and attempted to lift a safe. They ended up leaving it on a sidewalk because they could not get the safe inside of their car, Preciado said. The woman did not have the combination.

The woman, who is not the homeowner, was the only person in the home and was not injured during the invasion.

Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available. Police only said the getaway car was dark blue or black.

Several other celebrity homes have been burglarized in the Los Angeles area this year, including the homes of rapper Nicki Minaj, singer Alanis Morissette, LA Laker Nick Young, actress Emmy Rossum and Kendall Jenner.
