A trio of 15-year-old schoolgirls suffered non-life-threatening injuries Friday in Inglewood when they were struck by a vehicle whose driver was detained for questioning.
The southbound vehicle jumped a curb about 1:35 p.m. on Prairie Avenue near the intersection with Grace Avenue and struck the girls as they walked on
the sidewalk, said Inglewood police Lt. Oscar Mejia.
The girls - all of them St. Mary's Academy students -- were said to be in fair condition when taken to a hospital for treatment, Mejia said.
