Shelter Seeking Donations for Pug Abandoned, Left With Half of Her Hind Legs

An Orange County animal shelter is asking for donations after a severely injured pug was found abandoned in a box last week.

The 18-month-old pug was discovered inside a box in Fullerton on Sept. 11. She was somehow suffering from devastating trauma, left with just half of both her hind legs. An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact OC Animal Care at 714-796-6460.

The pup was taken to OC Animal Care for treatment where the staff named her Mila. It's short for milagro, which means "miracle" in Spanish.

Now, the shelter is seeking donations so that the "precious pug" has the opportunity to "live a long and happy life."

"She has a long road to recovery, but with the generosity of our community we have the opportunity to ensure Mila heals from her injuries both physically and emotionally and is given the chance to find the loving home she deserves," the shelter said in a press release.

Click here to donate. One hundred percent of the donations will go to Mila's care and recovery efforts and any excess monies will be used for animals in need of medical rehabilitation in the future.
