Additional Victims Sought After Arrest of Sex Assault Suspect Who Met Women at Nightclubs

After his July 11 arrest, the suspect was charged with three counts of rape involving multiple victims

Police are seeking possible additional victims of a 22-year-old man who visited nightclubs in West Hollywood and Hollywood to meet young women who were then allegedly sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Los Angeles police spoke about the investigation at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

Omar Talley, who moved the LA area from New Jersey, was arrested July 11 on suspicion of sexual assault. He was charged with three counts of rape involving multiple victims, two counts of oral copulation, and one count of forcible acts of sexual penetration.

It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.

Talley, who claimed to be a nightclub promoter and social media influencer, moved the San Fernando Valley a few years ago, police said. Detectives described Talley as disarming, striking up conversations with women at the club.

"This is a suspect who has a social media platform and was able to use that to his advantage," said detective Wes Potter. "He was targeting, young, attractive, early 20-something women."

He frequently visited nightclubs, then ordered a ride-share service to bring women back to his residence in the Lake Balboa area or nearby locations for what he described as an after-party, police said.

"It appears Omar Talley would be charming just before the sexual act, then change his demeanor and force the women to perform sexual acts against their will," said LAPD detective Katherine Gosser.

On July 11, a woman escaped during an attack and notified police, according to a statement from the LAPD. The suspect was arrested later that day.

The other assaults were reported in early February and April.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 818-374-7714 or 818-374-7717.
