A Los Angeles County Sheriff's motorcycle deputy crashed their vehicle Wednesday morning in Topanga Canyon near the Pacific Coast Highway, authorities said.
The northbound lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard remained closed from PCH to Fernwood at 11:10 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers said. The southbound lane had reopened.
The officer, based in Malibu, was transported to a hospital after the incident was reported at about 5:40 a.m., but their condition was unknown, a sheriff's dispatcher said.
The officer was stable and walking around after the crash, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson. He suffered minor injuries.
