Justin Aguilar was gunned down Thursday afternoon near Woodbine Park, one of three crime scenes in the community of Palms. Another victim found at the park, where children were playing, suffered a gunshot wound.
A second shooting was reported at a nearby Verizon Wireless store before more gunfire in a 7-Eleven parking lot, where rounds struck two people.
One victim was released from the hospital Friday morning and two others might be released later Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities are attempting to determine whether the shootings, which occurred in a span of 10 minutes, are connected. No arrests were reported Friday morning and witnesses provided conflicting descriptions of vehicles seen at the crime scenes in the densely populated area located southeast of the 10 and 405 freeway interchange.
