Shotgun-Toting Robbers Hold Up Buena Park Pizza Hut

Two robbers wearing hooded sweatshirts and armed with a shotgun held up a Pizza Hut in Buena Park and ran off with cash Sunday night, police said.

Surveillance video captured the moment when the pair entered the pizzeria at 6832 Beach Blvd. about 11:20 p.m. and held employees at gunpoint. The video showed at least four people behind the counter and one person in the customer area before the robbers walked in.

The men took an unknown amount of cash and fled the location, the Buena Park Police Department said.

The robber armed with a shotgun was described as a male about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The other thief, who entered the store with a handgun and bag, was about 5 foot 7 inches and weighed about 150 pounds. He had his face covered with a black bandana and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information was asked to call Buena Park Police Det. Eric Burciaga at 714-562-3901.
