Father, Siblings Sought in Amber Alert Case Have Been Found

An Amber Alert for two children was de-activated Wednesday after the subjects were found, the California Highway Patrol said.

Details about the investigation were not immediately available.

Original story begins here.

The children were last seen in Marina del Rey Tuesday night with their father, who investigators said should be considered armed and dangerous.

Eight-year-old Miliana Aguirre and 4-year-old Daniel Aguirre were last seen with their father, 31-year-old Michael Aguirre, Tuesday night around 5:45 p.m. at Glen Alla Park.

Miliana Aguirre is has brown hair and brown eyes, is 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 48 pounds.

Daniel Aguirre also has brown hair and brown eyes, is 3 feet tall and weighs 42 pounds.

Their father is 5 feet eight inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.

Michael Aguirre allegedly assaulted the children's mother Tuesday in Bakersfield, where she lives. He then allegedly kidnapped her and the two children and drove them to Marina del Rey, where he allowed her to leave with the car, but kept the children, according to Sgt. Nathan McCauly with the Bakersfield Police Department.

He is now wanted for domestic violence, making criminal threats, kidnapping and false imprisonment.

Anyone who may see them is asked to call 911.
