A dog "tail" nearly one year in the making: A Van Nuys man said he was separated from his beloved Husky Striker in July of 2015, and got him back Tuesday morning.
Jonathan Arteaga said Striker escaped from his yard a year ago. He started a Facebook page in search of the pooch after he disappeared July 26, 2015.
More than 600 people liked the page, posting possible tips on Striker sightings.
Arteaga said amazingly, after nearly a year of searching, somehow the dog wound up in Palmdale. A woman contacted him saying her neighbor found the Husky roaming the neighborhood.
It remains a mystery how Striker ended up 50 miles away.
Arteaga posted a picture to the page after the exciting day, saying it was almost as if Striker never left.
