A Google news search for the phrase "What's wrong with Philip Rivers?" produces 33,000 results. Obviously, things are not going as well as they usually do for the Chargers quarterback.

Rivers has 10 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions. He's on pace to turn the ball over 30 times, easily the most in his career.

We're talking about a guy who has a career quarterback rating that's higher than Joe Montana, Dan Marino and John Elway.

For him to be making the kinds of throws he's making, it's natural to ask what's wrong.

Philip says it's just bad decisions. But ---- do the guys he throws the ball to see anything wrong?

“I don’t think so,” said Randy McMichael. “When you’ve been as good as Philip is, as long as he’s been doing it, everybody is going to want to find something wrong. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Philip.”

“I think everybody is going to over blow this thing to about something wrong with him physically and he’s fine and we’re fine.”

“What happens is as any athlete, you try to do as much as you can,” said Antonio Gates. “You try to go out and compete, compete as much as you can.”

The Chargers will remind fans that they are indeed tied for first place in the AFC West with Denver at 3-3.

But while Denver springs into its bye week with momentum, the Chargers get a weekend off to stew about consecutive embarrassing pratfalls on national TV.
