The Los Angeles Dodgers are finally making legal news that doesn't involve the McCourt's divorce.
On Monday, Delaware-based Dodger Tickets LLC filed a breach-of-contract suit against comedian Jon Lovitz for allegedly not paying $95,400 for 2010 season tickets.
According to the Associated Press:
The lawsuit claims Lovitz and 100 other individuals entered into a written agreement in March 2008 to buy three dugout club seats for all baseball games played at Dodger Stadium in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Lovitz, who runs a comedy club at Universal Studios Citywalk, is perhaps best known for his work on Saturday Night Live. One of his most notable characters, pathological liar Tommy Flanagan, would often say, "Yeah, that's the ticket" after being caught in a lie.
The AP's attempts to contact Lovitz were unsuccessful.
Also in the Dodgers' crosshairs is filmmaker Steve Marlton, who allegedly owes $304,800 for two club seats for the 2010-14 seasons, the Long Beach Press-Telegram reported.
